Every month Wired Magazine invites a different designer or artist to create an image for the opening page of their features section. In the December 2013 issue of Wired, special guest editor Bill Gates hosted a dialogue with former President Bill Clinton about the power of technology to transform the world. Inspired by the historic pairing, Pedro and the Pentagram team created an illustration that uses the binary language—the 1s and 0s that are the building blocks of the digital age—as its theme.
